About Sunshine Tutoring
Experience and Education
I have many years of family and professional tutoring experience including working as a Paraprofessional at an elementary school. During this time, I have helped many students improve their grades and increase their academic goals in Reading, Math, and English, according to their individual needs. Some of my students were Hispanic and simply needed help with understanding English words and phrases.
Personalized Approach
I know that every student is unique and requires a personalized approach. That's why I customize my lessons to meet the specific needs and learning style of each student. I talk with my students, learn their interests and make a connection with them outside of classroom work to get a better understanding of how they learn best.
Flexible Schedule
I am available for tutoring sessions for elementary students in 1st through 5th grade.
I have flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
I understand that students have busy schedules, and I am willing to work around their commitments.
My personal statement.
Some students just need extra one on one attention that is difficult to get in a classroom full of students. Tutoring helps with that. I have seen the look of intense joy on a students face when the “lightbulb comes on” and the understanding clicks into place. It is a very gratifying experience for student and teacher. The elementary grades are so important for building a strong foundation for every child’s education. Don’t let your child get lost in the shuffle! 😊
